Name: London Tipton
Canon: Suite Life On Deck
Canon Point: Post series
Age: 20
Background: Some background canon information can be found here and here.
Personality:
London Tipton is a ditzy, carefree, spoiled heiress who embraces the finer things in life and was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. (Her name is a spoof of Paris Hilton.) Her birthday is October 6th, making her a Libra, and she fits it well. She is very into beauty, aesthetics, wealth, and lavish and luxurious self-care, always wanting to look her best at all times. She often out-dresses everyone around her. She is sweet and charming when she wants to be, often using her charm, or far more frequently, her money, to get what she wants from people. She finds money is often the most direct approach, and in her day-to-day life, she rarely has to ask for things, as they are usually taken care of and provided for her.
She is bubbly and cheerful when things are going her way, and even when they aren’t, she may not be happy about it, but she either finds ways to bring herself a bit of joy, or those around her manage to distract her with something to occupy her mind. Kind of like giving a crying baby a set of jingling keys. She is notoriously bad at spelling, and it’s not uncommon for her to misread something, causing her to misinterpret the meaning of a given text. Although London is far from the sharpest knife in the drawer, her positivity is overwhelming. She is quite often seen as an airhead to those who spend just a bit of time around her, but people tend to stick around for London’s cheerfulness and charm, and she’s had more than a few hopeless romantics pining over her, even to the point of completely overlooking her less than stellar intellect for her beauty and grace.
She has a somewhat strained relationship with her father, Wilfred Tipton, as he is never around and has only appeared physically three times throughout the original and spin-off series combined. His face had never been shown until near the end of the final season. Extremely wealthy, and always one to get rid of problems when they can’t be resolved, Mr. Tipton has married, divorced and re-married no less than 15 times by the end of the series. He even got rid of one of London’s romantic competitors by marrying her and effectively removing her from the equation altogether.
Although she rarely sees him in person, she can usually get ahold of him via phone and is often reaching out to him to solve problems that she can’t charm or bribe her way out of, or to just ask for things on a whim. His willingness to solve all of her problems with money has conditioned London to expect that all problems can be solved with money, and although her father wants the best for London, like a good education and to learn the value of money, London hides a level of resentment that he’s never physically there, which seems to be temporarily absolved whenever he does show up. When London gets a little too frivolous with her spending or when she isn’t taking her education with a modicum of seriousness, which is often, Wilfred Tipton does on occasion threaten to shrink her allowance or cut off her inheritance, which is, in and of itself, a bribe, but it nonetheless lights a fire under her feet to do a little better. And she always manages to do just enough to stay in his good graces, even if it’s the bare minimum.
Because of her father’s absence, London primarily finds solace in shopping and indulging in expensive, shiny things to fill the void, and has come to see one of the Tipton’s most prized employees, and the man Wilfred often charges with keeping an eye on London, Mr. Moseby, as a close father figure. Moseby had practically been the one to raise London ever since she was very small and her mother, Mr. Tipton’s 3rd wife, was divorced out of the picture. It’s because of Mr. Moseby that London has the capacity to show compassion to others that she never learned to show from her dad.
London often shows disdain for the poor people’s lifestyle, simply because she cannot fathom what it’s like to be poor. She’s not afraid to flaunt her wealth in front of her friends by gloating, reminding them of her status, bribing them to do her bidding, or being just plain unfair. Of course, they have been known to take her down a peg or two when she steps too far out of line. But she is aware that money makes the world go around, and it’s generally something that everyone wants, which is why she’s so open about bribery. When bribery fails her, London does tend to start somewhat really listening to people, as most people who won’t accept a bribe tend to have strong convictions. This is one of the two ways London makes friends. The other is by initially bribing them and eventually becoming cognizant of their goals, desires, and ambitions. When London does make friends, she is extremely loyal to them for the most part. She even lets her generosity take over in response to their kindness, and will often return a favor that she takes to heart tenfold. Even if she finds herself at a crossroads between getting what she wants and betraying a friend for it, she may end up doing a little soul searching before eventually coming around to making the right decision, even if she isn’t all that jazzed about it at first.
Although London is a spoiled heiress, she does occasionally show bouts of generosity, which may come as a surprise to many. Growing up, London eventually learns that everyone deserves happiness, whether or not they can afford it, and in spite of her industrialized upbringing, her close friends have taught her the importance of the environment and ecosystems. She has since bought expensive gifts and toys for children’s charities, and she even wrote a check for $10 million to help restore an island's suffering ecosystem after her father’s deforestation of the island killed their economy by driving away all of the tropical birds, the island's main tourism draw.
London’s generosity doesn’t just stem from guilt, however. Whenever she goes out to eat, not only do the service staff often recognize her, but they end up extremely lucky to serve her, as she tends to flippantly and egregiously overtip. On occasion, when her poor friends express not being able to afford something, she’s been known every once in a while to reach into her designer clutch and pull out a wad of cash, although usually for a “small” favor. Those who have caught onto her generosity also tend to take advantage of her gullibility as well. Of all her friends, Zack is probably the one who tries to trick London into turning him a profit. He’s also the one who is the most willingly susceptible to her bribes.
London’s gullibility doesn’t take much of a financial toll on her, but can sometimes take an emotional toll. She once fell in love with a hot grifter in Italy who feigned wanting to go to a prestigious performing arts school that he couldn’t afford, and London happily handed him $100,000 in cash on the spot out of the goodness of her heart without batting an eye. But when he repaid her by taking off and standing her up for the date they’d planned, she was left emotionally devastated.
London is very much a princess, preferring not to have to lift a finger, and considering the fact that she is an heiress of Tipton enterprises, she is often of the mindset that she doesn’t have to lift a finger. This is why, although she had been encouraged to go to school throughout her youth, she never took school seriously. Even aboard the S.S. Tipton where her father placed her in a floating high school so it would be harder for her to skip class, she makes the most of her time in Ms. Tutweiller’s class by blatantly reading magazines and tabloids, texting, touching up her makeup and nails, and ragging on Ms. Tutweiller for her poor fashion choices, bad hair and nails, and the fact that she’s single and alone in her thirties, all from her center-of-attention spot in the front row of the class. London sometimes puts an effort into her assignments, particularly when daddy threatens to cut her allowance by another million if her grades don’t improve, and will resort to lining her school papers with $100 bills, adding color swatches of her favorite makeup, and actually writing something. No matter how misinterpreted and inaccurate it is, it usually earns London a D just because it’s something different from the kids who did their book report based on the movie again.
On occasion, London does prove that she’s smarter than people assume she is, even if it is by luck. As physically far removed as she is from her father most of the time, she’s actually picked up on a number of his shrewd business practices, and it’s not unheard of that she has the makings of a savvy entrepreneur somewhere inside of her. It’s this bit of occasional care for her own progress, along with the occasional help of Cody and Bailey, two of her good friends and the smartest two kids to ever exist, that London manages to stay afloat. Their favors make London realize how lucky she is that they never really abandon her, like some of her rich friends have done in the past. London manages to graduate with the rest of her class, which is something that she hadn’t much cared about until she realized that all of her friends would be leaving her behind.

The sudden removal from her cozy penthouse suite atop the Tipton Paris hotel has London in a state of panic. Her eyes are tightly squeezed shut and a scream of shock escapes her as she clutches her fists together under her chin. Her scream subsides and she slowly opens one eye after the other, although her hands are still clasped. Present enough to take in her surroundings, London does not like what she sees.
"Aaaah!" she screams once more. "Where am I? What is this place? Why does it look like where old people live?" She looks around for some kind of answer, only to be met with a glowing hologram. She's a bit too distracted to notice where it's coming from, but it's no doubt kinda pretty to look at. She's enthralled when it starts speaking:
"I am The Augur. As the signs manifest, so do I read them. From the sky; from the birds; from the dance; from the animals; from portents. All such things did conspire to bring you here, to bring life back to the world of Erku."
"...Heh?"
She's not sure anyone would have been able to understand that, let alone herself. She raises a tentative finger. "Could you say that again, only using words I understand?"
But the hologram doesn't oblige, disappearing only to be replaced by probing and invasive robots. She releases a few shrieks of protest as she's examined, stopping only when a strange bracelet is placed on her wrist. Giving her the bracelet also seems to be the last thing they do, and she stares at it for a few moments before speaking up. "This is kinda cute, but does it come in platinum?"
No sooner than she asks is she teleported yet again, finding herself in a salty ocean sea bath. Shrieking and flailing, she finds herself washing up on a sandy shore, soaked and sputtering up salt water. Climbing to her feet, she releases an angry groan, hobbling on one shoe as an errant wave washes the other one onto the shore next to her. She snatches up the shoe and shakes it at the sky. "This is an Arturo Vitali!" she shouts. Exasperated, she wiggles her shoe back on. "Ugh, I better be able to get a really good shampoo," she says, wringing salt water out of her hair.
After a few moments of trying to brush the sand off to no avail, she realizes that she has absolutely no idea where she is, yet again. Would daddy be able to send the private jet all the way out here? How far is it from Paris to Urkel? she thinks, searching her person and realizing that not only does she have no pockets, but also no phone. She lets her head fall back, and the view of the snowy white moon and faint stars seems to really bring home what a hopeless situation she's found herself in. She sighs, feeling a lump well up in her throat, and starts making her way from the shore.

As physically far removed as she is from her father most of the time, she’s actually picked up on some of his business practices, and it’s not unheard of that she has the makings of a savvy entrepreneur somewhere inside of her.

London emerges into the fading sunlight after having spent her first full day in Rocket training. Finally graduating from Seven Seas High had brought London a sense of accomplishment, but now that she’s found herself in Rocket bootcamp, it doesn’t feel like much of a step up.
“Finally done with that stupid Sea school and now I have to go to stupid R school?” She sighs. The building isn’t too far from an ocean view, which one of the things London really enjoyed about Seven Seas High; it had been on the S.S. Tipton, her father’s luxury cruise liner. As she leans on the railing that overlooks the sea, she feels a bit off kilter and her calves feel sore. The boots that come with her uniform are flat, and London isn’t used to wearing anything shy of a three inch heel.
There’s something a tad different about the sea view, London realizes. The seagulls aren’t like any seagull she’s ever seen flying over the S.S. Tipton. Even some of the fish that neared the surface down below her strike her as odd. After a moment, she brings her attention to the two pokéballs at her hip, hanging from the less-than-fashionable belt (it could be way uglier, and at least it kinda goes with the look). She’d had a crash course in the world of Pokémon and wondered if every creature here was a pokémon. She lets out the two creatures she’d been given, and is unnecessarily startled by one of them.
“Ahhh!”
The enormous purple snake that emerges extends herself tall and London could almost swear she was smiling. ”Ekanssss!”
“Oh, right! I almost forgot they gave me a giant snake as my poké partner. Ooh, and a gold star!” The Staryu that had emerged from the other pokéball tilts upward toward her, somehow giving her a faceless quizzical look. Ekans slithers up to London and she reaches out to gently pet her shining purple scales. “You’re really scary, you know that?” Ekans seems to take it as a compliment. London suddenly brightens, as if she’s just had the best idea.
“Ooh! I know what would make you less scary… SPARKLES! What about earrings?… no, snakes don’t have ears. Ooh, rings!… No, snakes don’t have fingers.” Then it hits her: the best idea. “How about a necklace! You’re like, a hundred percent neck and five percent head!”
Regardless of London’s terrible math, Ekans seems pleased.

Personality: London Tipton is a ditzy, carefree, spoiled heiress who embraces the finer things in life and was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. (Her namesake is a spoof of Paris Hilton.) Her birthday is October 6th, making her a Libra, and she fits it well. She is very into beauty, aesthetics, wealth, and lavish and luxurious self-care, always wanting to look her best at all times. She often out-dresses everyone around her. She is sweet and charming when she wants to be, often using her charm, or far more frequently, her money, to get what she wants from people. She finds money is often the most direct approach, and in her day-to-day life, she rarely has to ask for things, as they are taken care of and provided for her.
She is bubbly and cheerful when things are going her way, and even when they aren’t, she’s not happy about it, but she either finds ways to bring herself a bit of joy, or those around her manage to distract her with something to occupy her mind. Kind of like giving a crying baby a set of jingling keys. She is notoriously bad at spelling, and it’s not uncommon for her to misread something, causing her to misinterpret the meaning of a given text. Although London is far from the sharpest knife in the drawer, her positivity is overwhelming. She is quite often seen as an airhead to those who spend just a bit of time around her, but people tend to stick around for London’s cheerfulness and charm, and she’s had more than a few hopeless romantics pining over her, even to the point of completely overlooking her less than stellar intellect.
Tipton has married, divorced and re-married approximately 15 times by the end of the series. He even got rid of London’s romantic competition by marrying her and effectively removing her from the equation altogether.
Although she rarely sees him in person, she can usually get ahold of him via phone and is often reaching out to him to solve problems that she can’t charm or bribe her way out of, or to just ask for things on a whim. His willingness to solve all of her problems with money has conditioned London to expect that all problems can be solved with money, and although her father wants the best for London, like a good education and to learn the value of money, London hides a level of resentment that he’s never physically there, which seems to be absolved whenever he does show up.
She has since bought expensive gifts and toys for children’s charities, and she even wrote a check for $10 million to restore an island environment after her father’s deforestation of the island killed their economy by driving away their main tourism draw of tropical birds.
London’s generosity doesn’t just stem from guilt, however. Whenever she goes out to eat, not only do the service staff often recognize her, but they end up extremely lucky to serve her, as she tends to graciously overtip. Paradisa Application!
London Tipton is a rich, beautiful and conceited heiress who grew up in the pent house suite of the hotel that her father, Wilfred Tipton owns. The Tipton hotel where she originally resides in Boston is only one piece of the international chain of hotels scattered across the globe. (Yes, she’s a Disney Channel charicature of Paris Hilton. Eh? Eh?) Given her money related star status, she is often hounded by the paparazzi, and always wants to look her best to avoid being captured in an icky photograph in the tabloids.
Her birthday is never actually stated, but London has mentioned the fact that she is a Libra. Towards the end of the series, she’s nearing about 19 years of age. She inherited her looks from her Thai mother, so two words sum up her general appearance: Hot Asian. She loves being surrounded by beautiful and lavish things, and she grew up having most things done for her. It takes her a while to appreciate what she has, considering the fact that hardships rarely come her way. Although she is ridiculously rich, she doesn’t hold back from being quite generous every once in a while. Let’s just say that when she tips a waiter, it’s about equal to a month or two of his salary.
London has quite a reputation for not being very smart. In fact, she has been held back in her classes a few times, making her a little older than her classmates. Her ignorance of the way regular people live, and the presumption that she’s never opened a book in her life, are seen in many different ways, from adorable to annoying. She’s been to three different high schools in her father’s attempts to get her to concentrate. But her lack of attention span and interest only in herself block her from learning much. As a result, she tends to be quite naïve, and learns most things from experience.
From a young age, London hasn’t had her parents around very much. They divorced when she was very young, and since then, she’s had a revolving door of step-moms totaling about 15. She doesn’t see her father very often, considering he’s always away on business, and only one of her step-moms has ever really tried to reach out to her. (Presumably step-mom number 12.) She has grown a bit of resentment toward her father and all of his ex wives, but he wins her over with expensive and shiny things. Her father also tends to smooth things over with trips to many international locations where she would be spoiled with fantastic purchases and expensive gifts. London often brings her purchases back to rub in the faces of the poorer inhabitants of the Tipton hotel, otherwise known as her friends and classmates.
London sometimes takes out her frustrations on her friends (or simply forgets that they’re not her lap dogs,) by gloating, reminding them of her status, bribing them to do her bidding, or being just plain unfair. Of course, they have been known to take her down a peg or two when she steps out of line. This has not only made London more tolerable for them most of the time, but it’s made London realize how lucky she is that they never really abandoned her, like some of her rich friends have done in the past. She even lets her generosity take over in response to their kindness, and will often return a favor that she takes to heart tenfold.
The Tipton hotel isn’t the only place where London resides. Her most current home away from home is aboard the cruise ship the S.S. Tipton. When London’s grades failed to improve, her father placed her aboard the cruise ship where he had implemented a floating boarding school. Most of her friends were lucky enough to attend the sea school as well, in addition to some new ones, and they’ve helped to keep her grounded and focused. For the most part.
ABILITIES: London’s greatest ability is fashion. It doesn’t account for much to the normal person, but she’s quite fashion forward and can make anybody over, whether they want a makeover or not. She also has the ability to make most young men bend to her whim and do her bidding, but it might not blow over so well in Paradisa. That, and the fact that she probably owns more credit cards than Paris Hilton herself.
THIRD-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE: As the sun shines through the large window, London stirs, not quite able to do more than feel the warmth of the sun. Curling up onto her side, she takes in the softness of her bed.
So soft… this is way different from that lumpy old life raft I went to sleep on…
The heiress rolls onto her back again and pushes herself up into a sitting position. With a yawn, she pulls back the silken sleep mask embroidered with the word Princess in perfect calligraphy. As she squints, her eyes adjusting to the light, her vision becomes clearer, capturing unfamiliar surroundings. The faint smile on her lips turns into a look of confusion as she realizes she has no idea where she is.
“Bailey?” she says, looking for another bed to her left. But there’s none. Just the vast expanse of bed that she’s on, covered with unfamiliar bedclothes. She looks around again and the smile returns, this time as a grin. “They finally moved Bailey out of my room and they redecorated it? Eee! Yay me!” she says with a happy squeal and a clap, tossing the covers off and jumping to her feet. She looks at that soft bed, wrinkling her nose at the gaudy pattern. “These sheets are kind of tacky, but that can be fixed.”
Her attention is drawn to the fact that there’s a lot more natural light than she’s used to on a cruise ship. “They even replaced that stupid port hole with an actual window!” She hurries to the window and tosses back the curtain, peering through the glass. Instead of endless ocean, she can see what appears to be a stretch of land, covered with beautiful scenery and dotted with adorable buildings. “Hm. We must be docked somewhere,” she says cheerfully. She skips to the vanity, a pitiful frown forming on her face when she realizes that her makeup and her cell phone are nowhere to be found. “I bet Bailey took my phone and makeup as payback for getting kicked out. Now how am I supposed to text Moseby?” After thinking about it for a second or two, she gives a shrug, flipping her hair as she sets her sights on the closet. “I guess I’ll have to just get dressed and go find him.” Without a second glance, London makes her way to the closet and opens the door.
“Ahhhhhhhh!” The sight she sees makes her shriek, her arms flailing as she stumbles back from the threshold. Perching on the edge of her bed, she clutches at her chest, gasping for breath. “C-c-c-closet… empty…!”
FIRST-PERSON JOURNAL SAMPLE: Ooh! A diary with my name in it! It’s pretty, but they emptied out my closet to give me this thing? Oh well, I might as well write in it until I can go shopping again. Some of that stuff was last season anyway.
Oo, look, a hair feather! [She tucks the quill pen behind her ear.] Now all I need is a pen… Or a dictator, to write down what I say! Too bad this book doesn’t just copy what I say on its own.
*gasp* It does! Wait… I didn’t write any of this! I didn’t say any of it either. They exchanged my clothes for a notebook that’s already full? Uh! Worst interior decorators ever! I should tell Moseby to have them fired!
INTENT: London Tipton is a character that I’ve played in another game for a while, and although she’s a bit of a crack character, she’s such a blast to write. It’s fun to have her interact with many different types of characters and watch her learn and evolve. I decided she needed a new atmosphere for her personality to roam and mingle. And besides, she would probably fare a lot better in a game where she doesn’t have to count on other players for survival.

London's Application Info!
Here's my Application, just in case you need to know a little more about me. Enjoy!
Character Name: London Leah Tipton
Series: "The Suite Life On Deck"
Point in canon: London is from the most recent point of "The Suite Life On Deck. The series is a sequel series to "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and is still in production.
Character Background and Personality: London Tipton is the daughter of a very successful owner of a hotel chain owner. As you might be able to tell, her name and her lifestyle are a parody of Paris Hilton. She is extremely rich, and spoiled rotten. Her father gives her all the money she could want, and in turn, she is an extreme shopaholic. In spite of having it all financially, London is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. She is slow on the uptake, and is quite gullible. She isn't that bright, but she is smart when it comes to fashion. Her sense of style is impeccable, and she has the financial means to wear couture clothing right off the runway. During "The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody," she developed her own web show, called "Yay Me, Starring London Tipton!" She continues her web cast in "The Suite Life On Deck," and often uses the smarter characters as her producer for the show. Most of her characteristics are established in the first series, "The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody."
London's father, Wilfred Tipton, is rarely ever seen, and spends very little time with London at all, due to his work owning a prominent chain of Tipton hotels. Because of London's lack of brains, her father has tried sending her to numerous schools, and finally settles upon 7 Seas High, the school she attends during "The Suite Life On Deck." He sent her to this school in particular so that she would not be able to run off to the mall or hop onto her private jet and fly away rather than attending her classes.
London doesn't treat her friends too much like friends, but they tolerate her because in spite of being full of herself and rather selfish, she is quite friendly, and easy to manipulate. She has money to spare, and her friends sometimes use her to get what they want. They tend to be a great deal smarter than she is, and they occasionally help her with her schoolwork, although somewhat begrudgingly. She often gets what she wants from her friends and others by bribing them with money, material goods and services. However, it doesn't work on her teachers. London doesn't believe that values are all that important. The only thing is money. London has money, and hence she has all that she needs. But occasionally, she does come to the realization that her friends are more important to her than she thought.
Sexual Orientation: London is straight. She's had a few romantic relationships with boys who are handsome and rich. She's as shallow as a kiddie pool.
Sample Post: London blinked her mascara coated eyelashes as she regained consciousness. She sat up, her brow furrowed. "Hey... what happened to my cabin? Where's Bailey? Where are all my shoes?" She looked down, gasping dramatically as she noticed she was in the nude. "My silk PJ's are gone..." She looked around hastily. Satisfied that she was alone, she looked around, taking in for the first time her strange surroundings. It was then that she noticed the strange pang under her skin at the back of her neck. Instinctively, she reached for it, feeling only a small lump. "Ew! I have neck cancer!" she shouted, shuddering dramatically. She jumped up, spotting a table on the other side of the room. She curiously crept toward it, noticing the laptop that sat on its slick surface. "Ooh! Maybe I can find out how to get rid of it on this laptop thingy!" Grinning, she opened up the laptop and paused, reading what was readily displayed on the screen. "Copulate? Why aren't the cops on time?" Dismissing the thought, she shook her head, continuing to read the message.
